Repairing Gates

Discovering broken doorways and gates in disrepair can be something we may sometimes just ignore. The gate to the garden may just be left open or removed all together. Our front door got destroyed in a typhoon several years ago and the replacement door I bought to replace it was about 2 inches shorter than the old one. I ended up leaving the door with a gap at the top for several months. Those months turned into years as I just got on with life and other projects. My lack of attention to this probably has cost me a some money in wasted cooling costs but anther fairly hidden or indirect cost. Well, finally it is fixed and now we are moving forward.

Spiritually, I think we ignore sometimes the condition of the gates in our lives. Dealing with people in a recovery setting has made me more aware of the impact that this disregard can really have. Sadly, many lives have been taken advantage of by not
